"Aliso Beach" - 9"x12" Oil on Canvas

SOLD

A couple of weeks ago the PAM group celebrated a fellow painter, Bob Francis , 3 Years of painting every day. That day I only had a couple hours to paint but loved the morning, company and food. I only had 2.5 hours. Aliso Beach was sold yesterday. It can be hard to sell a painting that you have a nice story behind.

Protecting the Corn - 8" x 10"

I have this scarecrow that has such beautiful fall colors in it and I really wanted to try to capture them. So decided to paint it with leftover candy corn and call it "Protecting the Corn ". Unfortunately the scarecrow didn't do the job too well and some of my students stole the candy corn.

Orange County Fair - Plein Air Day
Family Traditions  11" x 14" Oil on Canvas

Had so much fun painting at the Orange County Fair. There was a plein air competition that I had the honor of participating. 7 hours in 95degree heat but a beautiful day. I chose this location due to the ride being in the painting with the candy factory. Food, rides and family - the essence of the fair! But the colors also pulled me to this scene. What would you name this painting?

"Classic Pickup Truck Band" 18" x 18" oil on Board

Classic Pickup Truck band. Such a cool gentleman playing an old piano in the back of an old classic pickup truck. I took a photo of this scene after a workshop at the Randy Higbee gallery. Randy was so hospitable to all the artists and had this band play in the evening. Part of the seat is on the truck and part on an old piece of wood. The microphone is held by an old clamp.
